These new and contemporary apartments range from 45 m² to 215 m² in size. Each apartment has at least one balcony and the majority enjoy dual aspect views across both sides of the valley from most rooms. The materials are all made from alpine sources, which are not only sustainable, but indigenous to the area and age exceptionally well. The reception room features a traditional fireplace to complete the alpine feel and bespoke solid oak bathrooms include fittings by Gessi and sanitary ware by Koralle and Catalano.

FROM A FIRST CLASS HOTEL TO EXCLUSIVE RESIDENCES
In 1910 the Grand Hotel and Pension Beau-Séjour was built in an elegant style with many balconies and verandas in front of the massif of the Gummfluh. Directed by Mr. and Mrs. Clausen Le Beau Séjour was a first class hotel and known for its priviliged location, 60 comfortably furnished rooms, a beautiful restaurant, a various entertainment program. The owners assured the best care to everyone.
In 2005 the hotel Beau-Séjour was shut down and the building decayed. After demolition a new building was planned in the style of the previous hotel. In 2016 the new residential building was constructed and features 23 apartments from 45 m² to 215 m², in the ground floor a common area with a restaurant and bar as well as an indoor pool and spa.

CHÂTEAU-D'OEX
Le Beau Séjour is located in the picturesque Swiss village Château-d'Oex, Canton Vaud. Situated at around 1000 metres in altitude, half-way between prestigous Gstaad in the Bernese Oberland (15km) and the small town of Gruyères in the canton of Fribourg (26 km). It also enjoys excellent rail and road links to Geneva (140 km), Montreux (49 km) and nearby Saanen with its private airfield (12 km).
The property is located in the village center of Château-d’Oex next to the cable car, post office and supermarket, 300 meters from the train station and the tourism office. Chateau-d'Oex's town centre offers quality restaurants, cafes and bars to sit down and enjoy the Alpine surroundings.

ATTRACTIONS
WinterThe ski station of La Braye, with seven ski lifts and 40km of pistes is a stone’s throw from Le Beau Séjour while the valleys of Gstaad, offering 250km of ski runs and 69 ski lifts or cableways are located a mere 15 minutes (14km) away by car. The ski areas of Schönried and Saanenmöser and the high plateau of Les Mosses are 40min drive away while Verbier and Chamonix is less than 2 hours by car. Courchevel, Val d’Isère and Meribel are also in the vicinity and accessible for a weekend’s skiing.

SummerDuring the warmer months, cafés spill over onto the village’s flower-filled streets and the pedestrianised main square. The summer season’s activities include horse-back riding, tennis, swimming, hiking, mountain biking, paragliding and archery.
The beautiful pre-alpine La Pierreuse walking area lies south of Château D'Oex; the largest nature conservation area in western Switzerland it features rock areas, forests, abundant flora and flat moors. The Pays-d'Enhaut area offers a vast network of marked mountain biking trails and water sport enthusiasts can indulge in canyoning, canoeing and river rafting on the fast-flowing river Saane. |
Hot Air Balloon FestivalThe village made headlines in March 1999 when Bertrand Piccard and Brian Jones lifted off from the Alpine resort to become the first to circumnavigate the globe non-stop in a balloon – this was the start of Château D’Oex‘s reputation as a hot-air ballooning metropolis.
To complement the annual Balloon Week Festival in January every year, Gstaad is home to a number of attractions and major events of international renown, from the ATP Tour's Rado Swiss Open tennis tournament and Hublot Polo Gold Cup to the International Folk Music Parade and annual exclusive Ferrari & Maserati auction drawing in the affluent and famous from around the world. |
